Privacy statement

1. Who is responsible

Adhan 24 is owned and operated by Mohamed Chennouf, who is the controller for personal data processed for this website. For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, email info@Adhan24.com.

2. Prayer times, not personal tracking

Prayer events are calculated in your browser using the adhan library, a fixed list of cities and absolute UTC timestamps. The globe does not show visitors or track where you are. No account, profile or prayer history is created.

“My time” uses the time zone provided by your browser. It does not request GPS access.

“My City” is optional. If you choose it, your browser may ask permission to share your location. If you allow it, the nearest city from our public list is selected directly on your device; your coordinates are not sent to us or stored. If you decline, you can pick a city manually. City coordinates belong to the public city list, not to individual visitors. Choosing a calculation method or Asr convention does not create a religious profile on our servers.

3. Preferences stored on your device

We use browser local storage to remember your calculation method and Asr setting (adhan24-settings) and your time display choice (adhan24-mode), and, if you use My City, the identifier of your chosen city (adhan24-home, for example be-antwerpen). These preferences stay in that browser; the application does not send them to an account or database.

They remain until overwritten or removed through your browser’s site-data settings. Clearing site data restores the defaults. This storage supports the preferences you choose; it is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking. The current application does not set advertising or analytics cookies.

4. Technical information and external services

Opening any website sends technical information such as an IP address, requested URL, request time and browser information to its hosting provider. Adhan 24 uses Lovable hosting and its infrastructure providers to deliver the website, maintain security and diagnose faults. Error diagnostics may include the page path, error messages and stack traces. Development-preview diagnostics may differ from the public website.

Fonts are currently loaded from Google Fonts. Your browser connects to Google’s font services, which receive your IP address and request information. See Google Fonts’ privacy information. The adhan recording is served from this website; it is not an embedded third-party player.

We do not sell personal data or use the application to target advertising. Hosting and service providers may process technical data outside the EEA. Where GDPR applies, transfers require an applicable adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses. Contact us for information about the safeguards applicable to your request.

5. If you contact us

If you email us, we receive your email address, the name you provide and the contents of your message. Our email service provider also processes the correspondence. We use it to respond, investigate corrections, handle privacy requests or address legal obligations. Please avoid sending sensitive information, including unnecessary details about your religious beliefs.

6. Purposes, legal bases and retention

Where GDPR applies, our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) are operating a secure, reliable website and responding to correspondence, balanced against your rights. Processing needed to comply with a legal obligation, including handling applicable data-rights requests, relies on Article 6(1)(c). If an optional feature requires consent, it must be requested before that processing starts and may be withdrawn.

Device preferences follow the retention described above. Correspondence is kept only as long as necessary to resolve the matter and meet applicable legal requirements. Technical log retention depends on the hosting or service provider; a verified fixed retention period is not currently available in this statement. You can request further information by email.

7. Your rights

Where applicable, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction of processing or data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw any consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. These rights depend on the circumstances and applicable law.

Email info@Adhan24.com. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity, but will not request unnecessary documents. Under GDPR, we normally respond within one month; a permitted extension will be explained within that period. You may also complain to the supervisory authority in your habitual residence, place of work or where the alleged infringement occurred. In Belgium, this is the Data Protection Authority.

8. Security and changes

We aim to limit data collection and use reasonable safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. We do not use the application for automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects. If how the site processes data changes, we will update this statement and, where required, provide notice or obtain consent before introducing new processing.
