Terms & our intention
Adhan 24 is a personal initiative by Mohamed Chennouf: a respectful window onto the rhythm of Islamic prayer around the world.
A note from Mohamed
“I created Adhan 24 to share a sense of how the call to prayer continues around the world, day and night. My hope is to offer something meaningful to the Islamic world and to reflect, with care and humility, this connection through prayer.
This project is created with sincere intentions. If you notice anything that needs correcting or improving, please let me know so I can make it better, Insha’Allah.”

1. What this website offers
Adhan 24 is a free, informational visualisation of calculated Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha start times for a selected worldwide city list. It is not a live broadcast from mosques, a record of people praying or evidence that a particular mosque is calling the adhan at that moment. The city list is extensive but does not include every settlement.
The site has two views. World (the default) shows calculated prayer starts across all listed cities, with a timeline of recent events. My City focuses on one city you choose: the right panel lists its five prayer times for today, and the city appears on the globe as a softly glowing blue point that turns red when a prayer begins there.
2. How to interpret the globe
A red point represents a calculated prayer start and remains visible for approximately three minutes, fading as it ages. City labels fade gently in and out so they do not all overlap. It does not represent the duration of a prayer or recording. The timeline shows up to 100 recent calculated events.
Calculations use the adhan library, city coordinates and time zones, and your selected calculation method and Asr convention. The default method is Muslim World League with Standard (Shafi’i, Maliki, Hanbali) Asr. Changing City, My time or UTC changes only the displayed time, not the absolute event time. Visitors with the same calculation settings and accurate device clocks see the same events.
3. Religious and accuracy limitations
This website is not a religious authority, fatwa service or substitute for guidance from your local mosque or a qualified scholar. Calculated times may differ from local timetables because of calculation conventions, high-latitude rules, coordinates, rounding or local practice. Software errors, time-zone changes and inaccurate device clocks can also affect results.
Please verify the appropriate local timetable before relying on a displayed time for worship, fasting or another time-sensitive obligation. We welcome reports of inaccurate data or inappropriate content.
4. Audio and availability
The background adhan is a repeating recording, independent of the cities and prayer events shown. In World view it is not a location-specific prayer alert. In My City view, the adhan plays once when a prayer begins in your chosen city and stays silent in between; this requires the page to be open and may require interaction first. The site attempts playback where the browser permits it; browser restrictions may require interaction first. You can pause, mute or change its volume at any time.
The service may be interrupted, corrected, updated or discontinued. We aim to keep it useful but do not guarantee uninterrupted access, completeness or error-free calculations.
5. Respectful use and content
Please use Adhan 24 lawfully and respectfully. Do not disrupt the website, attempt unauthorised access or misrepresent its calculated events as verified mosque broadcasts. You are welcome to share links to the site.

6. Responsibility and your legal rights
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the site is provided as an informational service without warranties of accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud, intentional misconduct or any other non-excludable liability, or removes mandatory consumer or data-protection rights.
No statement of goodwill or request for forgiveness limits your legal rights. If a concern arises, please contact us so we can try to resolve it constructively.
7. Privacy, updates and contact
Our Privacy statement explains browser preferences, technical information and your data-protection rights. These terms may change as the service develops; the update date appears above. Any new version remains subject to applicable law.
